Phezulu Safari Park offers a variety of experiences for visitors. The cultural village tours provide insight into Zulu traditions, including mesmerizing dance performances. The performers in their beaded rainbow of colors steal the show. But some will wear more types of traditional outfits so you have a full cultural insight into the tribal and traditional history. You also get to watch demonstrations of traditional practices like beadwork and even engage in the unique Zulu’s courtship process. 

The drive through Phezulu Safari park takes the prize though, nothing short of excellent! Visitors get to experience guided tours through the park’s expansive terrain, encountering diverse wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and other savannah based animal species. The knowledgeable guides provide fascinating insights into the animals’ behavior and habitats, making the Safari both educational and exhilarating.

There’s also a reptile park that includes a new exotic snake collection. You can also face your fears by handling a harmless brown house snake or, if you’re feeling really brave, a 40 kg Burmese python. 

Within this amazing Durban attraction though, the crocodiles steal the show with their sheer size and beauty. If you are really brave you can try out their fear factor challenge where you can “enjoy” a meal inside one of their crocodile enclosures. Scary or what!

This can also become a regular haunt for Sunday breakfast. The restaurant has a uniquely African menu. They also have a gift shop that has lots of souvenirs, a cafe with a long porch, and a wonderful panoramic view of the valley of a 1000 hills. The view adds to the whole experience.
